Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County! We welcome individuals and groups from all walks of life (and earth!) to work toward providing families of Dutchess County with quality, affordable homeownership.

Without volunteers, there would be no Habitat!

There are plenty of ways for you to get involved. While we welcome volunteers with construction skills, we don’t require previous experience. We provide all of the training needed for each role, so all you need is your enthusiasm and energy to lend a helping hand.

Please review the different volunteer roles available with us, and if you have any questions, send them in an email to Pam Tarquinio at pam.tarquinio@habitatdutchess.org.

We are always in need of builders to help on our construction sites.  Whether you are brand new to construction and looking to learn new skills or a construction veteran and want to share your talents, we welcome all who want to swing a hammer- there is a role for you!

Homeownership volunteers are critical to recruiting and assisting families in their Habitat Partnership.  You can volunteer to help with outreach to spread the word in the community about this program or you can become a Habitat Coach. Habitat Coaches work with families who are Partners in the Homeownership program.  A coach is a communicator, guide, backup, and friend who helps the family along during their process of sweat equity, homeownership education and applying for a mortgage.

Habitat Dutchess has many committees that you can join.  From Hospitality that provides lunches and other items to volunteers on a build site to our Site Selection Committee that helps us find and acquire properties, we are always looking for helping hands, and thoughtful minds to help us grow our organization.
