Acceptable and Unacceptable Items for Donation

 Drop Off Donations:

Tuesday- Saturday, 10:30 am – 3:30 pm at the ReStore loading dock behind the plaza, 1822 South Road Wappingers Falls.

Items We Accept:

All donations must be clean and in working order with no missing or broken parts, deep scratches, chips, cracks, mold, rotted wood, peeling paint, fabric with stains, tears or strong odors, pet hair, water damage, or other major damage. Donation criteria may change over time. The store is happy to provide a donation receipt for tax purposes.

Furniture

Wood & metal furniture, dressers, nightstands, complete bed frames (headboard, footboard, and side rails), coffee tables, side tables, writing desks, bookshelves, console tables, buffets, sideboards, dining tables, dining chairs (pairs only), china cabinets/ hutches (less than 48” wide), sofas, love seats, recliners, rocking chairs.

All furniture must be free of rips, stains, tears, and damage. No slipcovers or floral print upholstered furniture.

Housewares & Home Decor

Pots, pans, glasses, dishes, silverware, utensils, bakeware, storage containers, baskets, artwork, framed mirrors, table & floor lamps, knick-knacks, unused candles, area rugs & runners (free from rips, stains, and pet hair)

Electronics & Appliances

Refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers, stoves, range hoods, microwaves, dishwashers, toasters, blenders, small appliances, vacuums, CD/DVD players, flat screen TVs. Must be clean, in working order, and less than 8 years old.

Kitchen & Bath

Kitchen & bathroom cabinets. Uncut counter tops, stainless steel/porcelain/fiberglass sinks (hardware must be removed), new faucets in original packaging.

Hardware & Tools

Power tools in good working condition, hand tools, full boxes of unmixed nails/screws, new painting supplies, complete sets of door hardware, good condition yard tools, working gas-powered tools with fuel removed.

Building Materials

Interior/exterior doors, standard-sized windows (24”-48” wide x 24”-60” tall), full lengths of unused lumber and sheet goods, molding & trim (unused), shutters.

Call or email for new vinyl, ceramic, or hardwood flooring, siding, or other bulk materials.

Seasonally Accepted Items

Air conditioners (clean and in working condition, less than 10 years old), bicycles, patio furniture, grills, snow shovels, snow throwers, holiday décor.
