Earth Day/County Wide Donation Day

Every year on April 22, Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. It is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations. On this day, Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County in partnership with Dutchess County Government will hold its third annual county-wide donation day. Community members are encouraged to donate new or gently used household items, including appliances, building materials, furniture, and home décor.  The items will be restored for sale at our Dutchess County ReStore.  All proceeds from the sale of the items will go towards helping to build and repair homes in our local communities.  If you would like to volunteer at this event, please visit our volunteer hub, where you can register, and review and fill out an application.
